Hedstrom's headstrong effort powers Palatine (Arlington Heights Daily Herald)
Amy Mitchell, a 2006 graduate, is the strikeout queen for the Palatine
softball program. On Wednesday, Mitchell was in the dugout for the second best
strikeout performance behind her own in school history.Now an assistant coach
for the Pirates, Mitchell watched junior Megan Hedstrom strike out the side
five times and finish with a career-high 18 strikeouts in a 9-2 victory over
visiting Mundelein. Coincidentally, it was also in early April of 2006 against
Mundelein when Mitchell recorded her school record of 21 strikeouts. Hedstrom
wasnt exactly thrilled with his prior performance in a 6-5 loss to Grant on
Saturday.

I'm remodeling master bath including a pocket door.?
The bath baseboard and door casing will be oak with dark walnut stain. The pocket door trim will be oak as well. The bedroom baseboard and door casing will be oak with a lighter stain. How do I make the transition between the two colors? Particularly on the strike side of the door jamb. The other two surfaces are split so I'll stain one side one dark (walnut) and the other light.
It's not unusual to see the lighter stain on a door jamb.
Edit: I don't think there is a lack of expertise here. I totally understand the question as we have pocket doors on all of the restrooms, laundry room and on our library. However, we have the same wood stain throughout our home. I looked at the door jambs and they are all the same stain.
I happen to talk to my mother, who is an interior designer and ran the question by her. That is where I got my response. Just stain the door frames on either side the color of the respective rooms, use the lighter on the pocket door jamb.
