Gilera DNA Not running properly - help much appreciated?
Hi my Gilera DNA 50 loses power at full throttle after a couple of new parts were fitted. The only way to get past 25mph is to hold throttle at 3/4.
Yesterday I made some modifications. I fitted a TNT helix performance air filter and a Gianelli Extra Performance Exhaust. I also up-jetted from a 56 main jet to a 75 in an attempt to prevent engine damage.
I am unsure why this is happening, I first up-jetted and couldn't get started therefore I put a little petrol in the bore hole to get it running. But I have drove it about 15 miles so it can't be running off the petrol in the bore hole anymore. I first tried the standard air filter after up-jetting and it would rev but the wheel wouldn't turn what so ever. Then I fitted performance air filter and it moves now as I described up to 25mph at full, then 3/4 thereafter.
Any ideas as to why would be much appreciated

It sounds like the fuel air mix is all wrong. You've rightly understood that you have to re jet to allow the correct amount of fuel to enter the engine, and you've gone in the right direction. More air (high performance filter) needs more fuel (larger jet). You may have either gone too far or not enough with the new jet.
You should not ride the bike any distance (more than 1 mile) until you sort the fuel air mix as running lean makes it run hot and could seize your engine.
If it smells petrolly (more so than usual) and wallows when you rev then its probably too rich. You can check this by looking at the spark plug (blackened with oily deposits) and by the smoke coming out the exhaust. If this is the case you'll need a smaller jet.
If it is running lean then simply pulling the choke will cut off some air and richen up the mix making it run right. Obviously this negates the new air filter so isn't a fix, but it'll show you if you need to increase jet size.
